Leading article of the General Secretary of the ESG,

The accession of Doctor Clara Pélissier-Langbort to the Presidency of the European Society of Gynecology - of which she is the essential mainspring since its foundation - and my own election as General Secretary mark an important turning point in the life of the European Society of Gynecology.
These circumstances are a particular occasion to promote the European Society of Gynecology, to show its strength throughout the decades and to reiterate its will to be inscribed as precursor in the topical concerns of our specialization in all the fields of the gynecology.
The present European Society of Gynecology - with its Board of directors partially renewed, its Board made up of those who want to insufflate a new dynamism to the ESG, its very recently appointed scientific committee, its entirely rebuilt Web site - reiterates its wish to open largely up, not only for its fellow-members of all the European countries, but also for the scientific societies of the Mediterranean basin.
During its congresses or its “Albert Netter’s Days”, a broad place is - and will always be - kept for the debates between the currents of schools which animate the specialization, while remaining in adequacy with the daily practice, in order to define coherent strategies and to rationalize our practices in the interest of the woman and the respect of her waitings.
I invite you to associate yourself with the European Society of Gynecology in an exceptional international scientific environment.
