Present functions
Since 1988, Head of the Laboratory of Tumor and Development Biology at the University of Liège.
Since 1996, Chairman of the Department of Obstetrics, Gynecology and Senology at the University of Liège.
Formation
MD from the University of Liège.
After 3 years spent at the Women' s Clinic at Johns Hopkins University Hospital and at the National Cancer Institute in Bethesda, Maryland, he obtained his PhD in Cell Biology and Biochemistry.
As a Fellow off the Fogarty International Research Centre at the National Institutes of Health (NIH), as a Visiting Associate at the NIH, as well as other long-term positions in Paris and at the University of Oulu, Finland, he has extensive basic and clinicial training in reproductive medicine.
Honours
In 2005, he received the “Prix Maisin”, highest distinction for medical achievement of the National Research Foundation in Belgium.
