Ethics codes: the website Codes of Ethics Online is realised by the Illinois Institute of Technology. It lists more than 850 codes of ethics of professional associations, academic institutions, government,…… A large place is given to health care professions. This website, much US oriented, is accessible from a searchable database or an index organised by categories. It gives also informations and advices for conception and redaction of a code of ethics.

This very rich site offers a database of more than 12,000 randomised controlled trials. It works in cooperation with all national and international bodies. It is possible to search a trial with its medical speciality or through its manager. Current Controlled Trials gives to each trial an unique identifier, the International Standard Randomized Control Trials Number.
This English speaking site gives also explanations in French, German and Spanish.

This site is developed by the Institute of Medical Genetics at the University of Wales College of Medicine. It is a repository on the prevalence and incidence of mendelian genetic disorders worldwide. Alltough still in formative stage, it includes 1580 records on some 280 disorders. The non-profit corporation managing the site tries also to attack misleading advertising on the Internet. This site is developed by an US pathologist ; it contains more than 3.500 medical algorithms, computation formulas, surveys, look-up tables…..The algorithms are classified into chapters that can be freely downloaded with their documentation on PC or MAC. A chapter is specially devoted to gynecology-obstetrics.

The E-skeletons project from the University of Texas
The eskeletons project from the University of Texas at Austin offers a superb site in osteology. Users can view skeletons of human beings, gorillas and baboons. Each bone can be viewed separately or compared. Bones can be rotated and viewed from various angles. The site offers also a glossary of anatomical terms and a set, downloadable, of life-sized images of the full adult human skeleton. And soon the images in three dimensions.
